Augmented reality is not just a way to view the world through a computer device with informational layers (e.g. monocle, layar, etc.), ar also means using the real world as a canvas which was so eloquently done in the above video created for the UAE National Day Celebration by shop “Obscuradigital” (these are the same guys that did Coca Cola’s 125th Anniversary Presentation). 

These digital designs and presentations are very time-intensive and do not allow any room for error because a break in continuity would mean the show’s over. The man and render hours it takes to create these things would probably equal to that of a Hollywood production.

To understand more about the preparation and strategy for these presentations, you can read about “Blue Is The Color of Dream” campaign that a Seoule shop “d’strict” created for Tiffany. It’s kind of like the above but “4D” adding percussion arts, 3D, and holography to the mix.
